Why I decided to read The Wheel Of Time series by Robert Jordan.

I finished reading the A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin, in March and since then I’ve been on the hunt for a really amazing epic series. If you search asoiaf on google,you will find the Wheel of Time in the recommended section. And that’s how I found this series. So after reading a few reviews I decided to dive in , and so far I’m enjoying myself immensely.

The Wheel of Time is a series of High fantasy novels by Robert Jordan. There are a total of 14 books , in addition to a prequel and a companion book which were published later. It probably take me a long time and a lot of dedication to finish this series , but atleast time will go faster in the never ending wait for The Winds of Winter.

Here is the synopsis of the first book The Eye of the World;

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

I’m in the middle of the first book, so I can’t give an opinion on the entire series, but so far it has managed to grab my attention. I’m excited about the world that Robert Jordan has created and to discover it alongside Rand who is as clueless as I am.

Robert Jordan has a very descriptive way of writing ,so it’s easy to close the door to my room and live in an entirely differnet world.

So though its very different from asoiaf ,I’m happy that I’ve found another series that I can obsess over as I wait for the The Winds of Winter , which hopefully won’t be too long.

So do you have any book recommendations for me? I’m constantly searching for new books to add to my wishlist. Share with me in the comments.

Bye!
